Asset Plus One owns 50% of Cannon Lane Properties
(CLP) which is a development vehicle for us. In 2007
CLP purchased a 5 acre brown-field site in Tonbridge
with planning consent for retail warehousing.
This lies adjacent to a 2 acre riverside site owned
by the Environment Agency (EA) controlled by CLP
under a Lock-Out Agreement. CLP saw the
potential for a residential led mixed use
redevelopment of the entire site and has been
working closely with Tonbridge & Malling
Borough Council and the EA to identify an
exemplar solution to the sensitivities posed
by the floodplain location. We have now
agreed a contract for the sale of the
scheme subject to planning.
